PandaFinder Privacy Policy
PandaFinder is a macOS file management app. This policy explains what information the app handles and how privacy is protected.
Information PandaFinder Handles
PandaFinder may access information that is necessary to provide file browsing and organization features on your Mac, including:
- File and folder names, paths, metadata, icons, tags, dates, and sizes shown inside the app.
- Recently opened files or folders inside PandaFinder, stored locally to show recent items.
- App preferences, such as language, AI provider settings, layout, and window state.
- User prompts or selected file information that you choose to send to an AI provider.
Local File Access
PandaFinder uses macOS permissions to browse folders and files selected or authorized by you. File information is used to display, search, organize, and open items inside the app.
PandaFinder does not upload your local files to PandaFinder servers.
AI Features
AI features are optional. If you configure an AI provider, PandaFinder sends your prompt and relevant selected context directly to the provider endpoint you configured, such as an official AI API endpoint.
The third-party AI provider may process the information according to its own terms and privacy policy. Please review the policy of the AI provider you choose.
PandaFinder does not operate a proxy server for these AI requests and does not store AI conversation content on PandaFinder servers.
Data Collection
PandaFinder does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not sell personal data.
PandaFinder does not collect analytics on PandaFinder servers. App settings and recent item records are stored locally on your Mac unless you choose to share information with an external AI provider through the AI feature.
Data Sharing
PandaFinder does not share your personal data with PandaFinder-operated services. When you use optional AI features, the data you submit is sent directly to the AI provider you configured.
Data Retention and Deletion
Local preferences and recent item records remain on your Mac. You can remove the app and its local data using macOS app management tools or by deleting the app's local container data.
For data sent to a third-party AI provider, please consult that provider's privacy policy and account controls.
Children's Privacy
PandaFinder is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.

儿童隐私
